Exeter Child Care Centre - learn. play. grow.

About Exeter Child Care Centre

The Exeter Child Care Centre opened in September 1992 in response to a need in the community. It is a community based, not for profit Centre, managed by a Committee of parents and staff. With assistance from the West Tamar Council and the Education Department of Tasmania, the Centre has developed and grown since its inception.

We aim to provide care in an environment that is homelike and welcoming for children of families living or working in the West Tamar region.

Family involvement in the Centre is welcomed with parents and family members offered a variety of opportunities to participate. We believe that care should be given in partnership with families and we encourage regular communication between parents and centre staff.

Accreditation

The Centre is accredited by the National Childcare Accreditation Council. Centre staff are concistently reviewing our work practices and upgrading our level of service. Our most recent Quality Improvement and Accreditation System Review was completed in December 2005, and we will be reviewing again in 2008.

This system evaluates and validates centre practice relating to interactions between parents, staff and children, the quality of the program offered, all aspects of nutrition, health and safety practices, and management and staff development.
