Playroom (0-2 years old)
In the Playroom we aim to provide a loving, safe “home-like” environment that is welcoming to children and their families. We believe in fostering and maintaining strong partnerships with families so that care is provided to best meet the needs of each individual child.
We recognize that infants learn to trust when their basic needs are met by nurturing, responsive, sensitive caregivers.
Infants are provided with opportunities to explore and enjoy; to see, feel, touch and move through developmentally appropriate play experiences.
Harmony Room (2-3 years)
Our goal is to guide and nurture children leaving babyhood into the emotional and social growth appropriate for very early childhood. We aim to support children as they prepare for the transition to the pre-kinder room.
Our day in the Harmony Room revolves around the routines of story and singing time, play time, rest time, meal times and of course toilet training. Our program is based on children’s interests and is flexible enough to accommodate individual needs.
Gym room (3-5 years)
In the Gym Room our expectation is to offer a caring, safe, loving and sharing environment.
The activities that we offer (eg self expression through dramatic play, music, dance, different art mediums) are driven by the children’s interest which will ensure that the individual’s needs and abilities are catered for.
We believe in supporting and stimulating the children in their efforts to grow and mature and become empowered in all situations re:
- Cognitive development
- Leadership
- Sharing
- And a strong sense of self worth.
The staff work hard to present themselves as friendly and approachable. We endeavour to build collaborative relationships based on trust, respect and honesty.
